I arrived in San Luis Obispo on Sunday November 28th after taking a drive down the coast from San Francisco. I spent most of the week working with colleagues at our branch, but did take a couple afternoons off to go to the beach one day and hiking at Pismo Preserve on another day.
The weather was beautiful most of the time with a high of 84 early in the week. My friend Sharon and her husband even happened to show on a scheduled vacation and we were able to grab drinks on Thursday
It was great seeing colleagues all week and they made me feel very welcome.
I left in the morning on Saturday, December 4th with some of the same feelings I had when I left Madison over 3 months ago. I was a bit sad as I realized my journey was coming to an end. I thought I would be excited about this journey back, but the stress of the delays in the completion of my house are adding up. I know things will be fine and it will be done eventually, but this uncertainty has damped the excitement of returning. One thing I do know is I cant wait to catch up with everyone in Madison when I return.
I am going to spend the night in Las Vegas to break up the drive to Zion National Park which is my next stop.
I am planning on being back in Madison by December 21st.
